Some quirky facts...

 

• I passed about 10 people on foot during the whole run, 6 on the same day

• I didn’t see a single Highland cow, Boo!

• I did see grouse, partridge ( or were they quail?), an eagle ( big brown bird) , deer, buzzards, skylarks, lots of sheep, a donkey…and rhea and black ducks in Glenelg

• Midges were not a problem but ticks were …

• It took several weeks of scrubbing to get rid of all the peat stains on my toes
